Celebrations will be OPEN Monday, October 8th (11am-5pm)

Join us Columbus Day Weekend for the kick-off of our Harvest Charity Campaign, "Sharing the Bounty." From 12-4PM, Friday through Monday (Oct. 5-8), we will offer a complimentary tasting of Harney & Sons Cranberry Autumn Tea and our own homemade cranberry & white chocolate biscotti.

"Sharing the Bounty" celebrates the plentiful season of autumn. From October 5th - November 11th, we will donate 20% of proceeds from sales of select artwork and merchandise to Daily Bread, a local food bank. Featured items include handmade wooden cutting boards, fused glass platters, blown glass pumpkins and other harvest-themed art. Look for a copper maple leaf on our description tags for items included in this event.

New Artists

Ann Gommers, Oil Painting

“My art is about capturing a moment in time as I observe movement and all forms of natural energy around me, human and otherwise.

I love to observe the movements of the clouds as the earth, wind and sun shift them around with the result being changes in light and color that create new scapes constantly. I find them both spiritual and a link to the great power of nature that dwarfs us. I work in both oil and acrylic and fiber to achieve successive layering and blending of color needed to create the gradations of both light and color in my work.

I also seek to capture an aspect of the complexity and flow of human movement as I observe dance and/or humans at work. There is a visceral and raw energy that emanates from man and woman when dancing, working or in an emotional state that I see and bring to my work.

In the case of the working man or woman, the essence of the human energy I paint is that which I witness coming from within that person as they focus and link to their intention and vision.

In the case of dancers, spontaneous dance is often an expression of a spectrum of inner energies from extreme joy to fury or despair. Having studied ballet and modern dance as a girl, I particularly relate to the free form and release of movement.

I hope you enjoy my work.”
