In her paintings, Ann seeks to capture dreams juxtaposed to reality.  "A momentous sky can appear in a moment and be gone...only captured in the memory, but that image may be thought about again and again while carrying on the most mundane activities of daily life. In my painting, I seek to capture those moments."
    Ann holds a BFA from the University of Denver and has studied art at the University of Copenhagen and the Rhode Island School of Design. She helped found a group of painters in Rhode Island named The Ceruleans.  Together and individually they show their work in galleries and libraries throughout New England.

    Having recently moved to downeast Maine she has found many inspirations for new work.  Landscapes, seascapes, skyscapes and portraiture hold her interest.  In addition, she doesn't shy away from using her work to bring a political message.

    Oil is her favorite medium, but she also uses acrylic and mixed media, such as oil mixed with textiles.  Her latest work can be found in the  "Head in the Clouds" Series;  all diptychs linking place and thought.
